Foresters Friendly Donation

Foresters Friendly Society Donation

The Kingsclere Community Association would like to thank the Foresters Friendly Society for their donation to the Association. The Fieldgate Centre is used by the Foresters Friendly Society for their regular committee meetings, but due to the restrictions over the last year they have been unable to meet. Instead of seeking a refund, they have chosen to donate their hire charge. This donation is very welcome as we rely on hire income to run the community centre.

We hope that classes will be starting up again at the Fieldgate Centre following the next planned step in the easing of restrictions from 17 May. We are taking bookings now for parties and events from 24 June and look forward to welcoming everyone back!

The AGM is an opportunity for Kingsclere residents and users of the Fieldgate Centre to hear reports from the trustees on the past year, to consider plans for the next year and to influence the future of our community association and the community centre. At the last AGM to support the running of the association we formed an operations committee and this seems to have worked well. This group assists the trustees with the day-to-day management of the wide-ranging activities of the KCA.  If you would like to become a trustee or a member of the operations committee, please contact the office using email or leave a telephone message. If you have only a little time to spare, you may be able to assist with an event or help with a small project.

An agenda, minutes, annual report and financial report will be sent to you if requested.

We look forward to seeing you.

Yours sincerely,

Lesley Farey for the Trustees of the Kingsclere Community Association

Village Halls Week

#VillageHallsWeek is a national celebration of the 10,000+ village halls which can be found across England, their volunteers and the difference they make to the rural communities they serve.

The Fieldgate Centre and the Kingsclere Village Club are both run by volunteers for the benefit of all who live in Kingsclere and the surrounding area. Their trustees and volunteers rely heavily on the support of many people to ensure that the centres remain thriving hubs of community activity.
We all look forward to welcoming you when restrictions are lifted and it is safe for us to gather together.  In the meantime, we continue to improve the facilities and keep them ready until we can throw open our doors again. Thank you for your continued support.
