Kingsclere Celebrates The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Saturday 4th
Grand Parade Through the Village
For all organisations, families and individuals.  2pm Start from The Holding Field and finish at The Fieldgate Centre.  1950s and Royal Themed with prizes for the best costumes.   Register here. 
Platinum Jubilee Party
at The Fieldgate Centre after the Grand Parade, from 3pm. 
Prize-giving, family fun, food and live music.
Cream Teas and Exhibition of 1950s Life

10.30am at St. Mary’s Church & Churchyard.

NEW EVENT…. Ceroc Summer Jubilee Dance Party


  • Class – Beginner Move Marathon (as many beginner moves as you can cope with in an hour)
  • Catering – Val’s Pear & Almond Tarts, Homemade Ice Cream, Strawberries and Cream plus Pimms
  • Weather – preferably sunny so that we can spill out onto the veranda for some petanque!

It’s possible that some of you will have friends and family with you and you are welcome to bring them. They don’t have to sign up as members and can enter paying the usual standard entry fee of £9.

It’s not quite Strictly and there are no sequins, sparkles or fake tans, but it is enormous fun, very social and great exercise! You don’t need to bring a partner to attend, just call Val on 07958 587256, or email to book your space.

We hope you’ll have a great time and this will kick start you ready to join us on the dance-floor for classes every Thursday night. If you can’t make 27th February, then join us on Thursdays anyway as these classes are suitable for complete beginners too!

Kingsclere Bounce Back events …

Our plans for a programme of collaborative events kicked off last year with a brilliant Community Fun Day, attended by around 800 people (see photo above).  Events like this can only take place with your help. 

We’re appealing for:

  • Donations  Every £1 you give will be gratefully received and doubled by match funding!  Please go to and search for project 18767.
  • Helpers * needed for all events, either on the day or in advance, in front of and behind the scenes.    *A certificate or letter of recommendation given for 10hrs or more.
